MINISTRY ANNOUNCES LEASE OF PORT TERMINAL IN MACEIÓ PORT

The Ministry of Ports and Airports announced the leasing of five port terminals, including the Port of Maceió, specialized in solid bulk minerals, such as salt. The projected investment for the Maceió terminal is R$ 7.2 million, with a 5-year contract. These concessions, in line with the Growth Acceleration Program (New PAC), aim to optimize operations, expand capacity, and strengthen the local economy, generating employment. The terminals in Vila do Conde, Porto Alegre, and Rio Grande are also included in the leases, primarily intended for the handling of solid bulk minerals. These investments will boost logistics and the national port sector.
