MATO GROSSO DO SUL ANNOUNCES NEW INVESTMENTS ON ETHANOL

During the MS Day event, Mato Grosso do Sul Governor Eduardo Riedel said the state has already guaranteed BRL 5.5 billion from three ethanol-focused projects. The sum includes donations from the corporations Atvos (BRL 3 billion), Razen (BRL 1.3 billion), and Inpasa (BRL 1.2 billion), according to the government. The plans were announced by Jaime Verruck, Secretary of State for the Environment, Development, Science, Technology, and Innovation (Semadesc). Razen will provide second-generation ethanol growth; Atvos, a sugar and ethanol producer in Mato Grosso do Sul, plans to spend the next three years expanding its agricultural base and modernizing its ethanol production line.
