Mato Grosso accounted for 26% of Brazil’s biodiesel production in March, with output reaching a record 228,360 m³, up 16.9% from February, according to Imea. National production totaled 893,600 m³, supported by the mandatory B15 diesel blend adopted in August 2025. Soybean oil remained the main feedstock, representing 84% of biodiesel production in the state. Imea also raised its 2025/26 corn yield forecast, lifting expected output to 52.66 million tonnes. In cotton, planted area was revised to 1.38 million hectares, with production projected at 6.14 million tonnes of seed cotton. In livestock markets, Mato Grosso cattle prices rose to an average BRL 350.11 per arroba in April amid tighter supply, while hog prices fell to BRL 5.96/kg on weaker domestic demand.
