HIDROVIAS DO BRASIL SET OUT ON ITS JORNEY WITH THE LARGEST RIVER CONVOY IN BRAZIL

Hidrovias do Brasil, an integrated logistics solutions provider, started a journey of the largest river convoy in Brazil. The vessel departed from the Private Use Terminal (TUP) in Barcarena, PA, on its way to the Cargo Transhipment Station (ETC) in Itaituba, PA, where it will be loaded with grain, both of which are owned by the company. The convoy, which consists of 35 barges, is 346 meters long and 75 meters wide and can carry up to 70,000 tons. Comparing the new composition to the company’s 25-barge convoys, the transport capacity is increased by 40%. During each journey, this convoy changes about 1,666 trucks.
