CORN AND WHEAT EXPORTS FROM BRAZIL ON TRACK FOR A RECORD IN 2022

Brazil is expected to export 42.596 million tons of corn in 2022, an all-time high and twice last year’s 20.6 million tons, said the National Association of Cereal Exporters (Anec). If this estimate is confirmed, Brazil will record a new record in corn exports in 2022, surpassing the mark of 41 million tons in 2019. In addition, Anec data show shipments at historic levels of wheat this year. The entity estimated corn exports from Brazil in December at 5.43 million tons, an increase of more than 2 million tons when compared to the same period last year.
