CHARTING SUCCESS: MARCH SETS RECORD FOR BRAZILIAN AGRIBUSINESS MARKET OPENINGS

March 2024 marked a historic achievement for Brazil’s Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa), setting new records by opening 10 new markets in seven countries. This success contributed to making the first quarter of 2024 the most prosperous in Brazilian agribusiness history, with a total of 26 new markets opened across 18 countries since the beginning of the year. Minister Carlos Fávaro emphasized the commitment to further expanding exports. The newly opened markets span various continents and include products beyond traditional exports, such as acai powder, tilapia fingerlings, and gelatin. Mapa’s efforts aim to not only unlock new opportunities but also to foster economic growth and job creation in Brazil’s agriculture sector.
