BRAZILIAN MILLS LAUNCH A CAMPAIGN TO ENCOURAGE ETHANOL CONSUMPTION

The Sugarcane and Bioenergy Industry Union (Unica) created the “Go Ethanol” campaign to motivate drivers to use ethanol instead of gasoline. The project, which includes ten videos, and four radio spots, seeks to dispel myths about the benefits of ethanol in automobiles, focusing on environmental, social, and economic factors. Sugarcane crushing in the Center-South region set a record for the 2023-2024 harvest, totaling 638.4 million tons, an 18.3% increase. The total ethanol output reached 30.9 billion liters, a 13.65% increase over the previous season. The price of ethanol has been falling due to high stocks and the off-season.
