BRAZIL TO INCREASE SOYBEAN EXPORTS IN JANUARY, SAYS ANEC

Brazil’s soybean exports in January were estimated at 1.3 million tons on Friday (5). It represents an increase of around 360 thousand tons over the same month last year. The National Association of Cereal Exporters (Anec) announced the figures. According to the Brazilian Association of Vegetable Oil Industries (Abiove), Brazilian soybean shipments are increasing year on year, with bigger beginning stocks in 2024 (4.9 million tons) than in 2023 (3.7 million tons). This comes despite last year’s records, which were made feasible by a historic harvest volume. Brazil exported 3.8 million tons of soybeans in December.
