BRAZIL: PORT OF SANTOS LEADS EXPORTS IN MAY

The Port of Santos saw 5.475 million tons of soybeans exported in May, in comparison to the 4.310 million tons shipped during the same month last year. Additionally in the month, Sao Luis in Maranhao delivered 2.135 million tons, and the Port of Belém/Barcarena (PA) exported 1.914 million tons. Paranaguá (PR) shipped 1.891 million tons. In May 2023, the Port of Santos (SP) was largely in charge of transporting 1 million tons of soybean meal. Also, Brazil shipped 2.709 million tons of soybean meal in May, up 38.4% from 1.957 million tons during the same period in 2022.
