BRAZIL HIT A RECORD IN OIL AND GAS PRODUCTION IN JULY, SAYS THE NATIONAL AGENCY OF PETROLEUM, NATURAL GAS AND BIOFUELS (ANP)

The National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) released its Monthly Bulletin for July 2023. The report includes data on national production, revealing that the total production of oil and natural gas hit a new record that month. This applies to both oil and natural gas production considered separately, as well as pre-salt production. In total, there were 4.482 million barrels of oil equivalent per day (MMboe/d) produced, which is the highest ever recorded. It surpassed the previous record from June 2023, which stood at 4.324 million MMboe/d. The report also shows that oil production reached 3.513 million barrels per day (MMbbl/d), an increase of 4.3% compared to the previous month, and 18.6% compared to July 2022.
