BRAZIL HAS THE POTENTIAL TO PRODUCE 43 MILLION TONS AFTER RESUMING MIXTURE

Soybean meal production is expected to be around 39 million tons next year if the biodiesel/commercial diesel blend stays at 10% (B10), which is comparable to the volume recorded in the current harvest (38 million). The amount of soybean meal produced, however, could increase to 43 million tons if the Brazilian Energy Policy Council (CNPE) resumes its original timeline. Since soybeans are used as its primary raw material and because they contribute significant value to the manufacturing chain, the manufacture of biodiesel encourages the processing of soybeans. The production of animal protein, which uses a lot of soybean meal in its manufacturing process, is indirectly benefited by biodiesel.
