Brazil’s 2025/26 grain crop is forecast at 360.1 million tonnes, up 2.2% from the previous season and 1.5 million tonnes above the last estimate, according to Conab. Planted area is expected to increase 2.2% to 83.5 million hectares. Soybean output is projected at 180.6 million tonnes, up 5.3% year-on-year, while corn production is seen at 141.7 million tonnes, a 0.4% increase. Cotton output is forecast at 9.8 million tonnes, rice production at 11.1 million tonnes (-13.1%), bean output at 3 million tonnes (-1.4%) and wheat production at 6 million tonnes, down 23.5% due to reduced planted area.
