BNDES CREATES A NEW CREDIT LINE TO SUPPORT FARMERS IN 2024

The National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) has established the CPR BNDES credit line to assist farmers who have trouble during the harvest season due to price or weather issues. This plan is estimated to generate BRL 10 billion by 2024. The credit line provides loans to micro, small, and medium-sized rural producers, as well as cooperatives. Loans are limited to BRL 20 million per 12 months, with a payment duration of up to 60 months, including a 24-month grace period. The funds will be made available through Rural Financial Product Notes (CPR-F) or Agribusiness Credit Rights Certificates (CDCA), making credit more accessible and stimulating the agricultural sector.
