The AIBA forecasts that Bahia’s soybean harvest in 2024–2025 will reach an all-time high of 8.582 million tons, up 14.7% from the previous cycle. The planted area reached 2.135 million hectares, an increase of 7.8%, while the production was 6.3% higher, averaging 67 bags per hectare. Modern technology, appropriate precipitation, good weather, and governmental projects such as Prodeagro all helped to improve outcomes. The west of Bahia, the state’s primary producing area, focuses on output, creating jobs and income, and therefore expanding the state’s economy.
