AGRICULTURAL COOPERATIVES ARE EXPECTED TO INVEST BILLIONS IN EXPANDING ACTIVITIES

A survey by Valor Data, the data collection and analysis unit of Valor Econômico newspaper, reveals that eight Brazilian agricultural cooperatives will invest R$ 7.4 billion in expanding their activities this year. Cooperatives including Coamo, Lar, Aurora, Comigo, Cocamar, C.Vale, Frísia, and Coopavel are among those making investments, with some extending until 2026. Despite product devaluation like soybeans, the investments stem from previous years’ strong performances. Coamo, the largest agricultural cooperative, leads with a R$ 3.5 billion investment planned between 2024 and 2026.
