EXPORTS AT PARANÁ-BASED PORTS SEE 15% SURGE YEAR-TO-DATE

In 10 months, the Ports of Paraná have registered a 15% growth in export movements. From January to October 2023, the Ports of Paraná showed a significant increase of 15% in export movements, totaling 35.2 million tons, an addition of 4.5 million compared to 2022. The main cargoes were soybeans, sugar, and meal, primarily destined for China, South Korea, and Japan. The CEO, Luiz Fernando Garcia, highlights efforts to meet high demand, with investments of R$ 592 million in the construction of Moegão, a railway unloading system. The total movement, including import and export, reached 53.36 million tons, representing a 7.4% growth compared to the previous year. The expectation is to reach 62 million tons by the end of 2023, an increase of 6.2%.
