BRAZIL FERTILIZER DELIVERIES HIT 12.3 MLN TONNES IN FIRST FOUR MONTHS

Brazil’s fertilizer deliveries reached 12.30 million tonnes in the first four months of 2026, up 1.6% year-on-year, according to ANDA. April deliveries fell 6% to 2.54 million tonnes, while domestic production of intermediate fertilizers declined 14.4% to 1.92 million tonnes in the January-April period. Fertilizer imports totaled 11.21 million tonnes, down 0.4% from a year earlier, although April imports increased 10.4% on stronger second-corn demand. Mato Grosso remained the largest consuming state with 3.06 million tonnes. Paranaguá handled 2.84 million tonnes of fertilizer imports during the period, accounting for 25.4% of Brazil’s total imported volumes despite a 6.5% year-on-year decline.
