Serasa Experian data shows soybean planted area expanded by 175,000 hectares in the 2025/26 crop across Bahia, Goiás, Mato Grosso do Sul and the Federal District. Bahia accounted for 56% of the increase, adding about 98,000 hectares, and reached 2.27 million hectares under soybeans, up 4.5% year-on-year. Goiás and the Federal District totaled 5.84 million hectares, while Mato Grosso do Sul reached 3.9 million hectares. The survey also identified a 20% increase in first crop corn area, reaching around 360,000 hectares. The mapping uses satellite imagery and geoprocessing to support agribusiness risk assessments and socio-environmental monitoring.
