VLI AND ETG FERTILIZERS ANNOUNCE R$26 MILLION PLANT INVESTMENT IN BRAZIL’S MATOPIBA REGION

VLI and ETG Fertilizers announced an investment of around R$26 million to build a new industrial unit at VLI’s Complex in Palmeirante, Tocantins, connected to the North-South Railway. The project marks ETG’s entry into Brazil and will have capacity to produce up to 200,000 tonnes of fertilizers annually, with storage capacity for 45,000 tonnes. The facility is part of VLI’s fertilizer logistics corridor linking Itaqui Port in Maranhão to the Palmeirante Integrated Terminal, which has received about R$400 million in investments since 2022. The companies expect the operation to expand fertilizer availability, reduce logistics costs and strengthen agricultural supply chains in the Matopiba region.
