Grain production is expected to increase in São Paulo during the 2025/26 crop season, while Brazil moves toward a new all-time harvest record. The data are part of the monthly monitoring report prepared by the Economic Department of the São Paulo State Federation of Agriculture and Livestock, based on information from the National Supply Company (Conab). The São Paulo crop is expected to reach 11.9 million metric tons, a volume 2% higher than that recorded in the previous season. The increase is mainly driven by a 2.9% expansion in planted area, while average yields declined by 0.8% due to weather conditions. On the other hand, second-crop corn was affected by planting outside the ideal window and by reduced rainfall in April. According to the survey, the crop is expected to post a 7.1% decline in production and a nearly 10% drop in productivity.
