Brazil’s ethanol output is forecast at 40.69 billion liters in the 2026/27 season, up 8.5% year-on-year, setting a record, according to Conab. Cane-based ethanol is seen at 29.26 billion liters (+7.1%), while corn ethanol reaches 11.43 billion liters (+12.3%). Hydrous ethanol is projected at 18.29 billion liters, with anhydrous at 10.97 billion. Sugarcane crushing is estimated at 709.1 million tons (+5.3%), the second-highest on record. Sugar output is expected to ease 0.5% to 43.95 million tons. The Center-West remains the main corn ethanol hub, with capacity expanding in the Northeast. Market conditions point to comfortable supply, with pricing tied to gasoline parity and mandated blending demand.
