Porto do Itaqui handled 7.20 million tons in Q1 2026, its second-highest quarterly throughput, up 5% year-on-year and 17% above 2024 levels. Fertilizer imports reached 934,000 tons, up 11%, with March volumes at 281,000 tons, the highest for the month on record. Liquid bulk throughput totaled 2.35 million tons, a 10% increase, while bonded storage operations hit 1.05 million tons, also a record. Results point to higher berth utilization and improved terminal efficiency, reinforcing Itaqui’s role as a key Northern Arc hub for agricultural inputs and energy cargo flows.
