2023-2024 GRAIN HARVEST IS ESTIMATED AT 316.7 MILLION TONS

According to Conab, Brazilian grain output for the 2023-2024 harvest is expected to be 316.7 million tons, a 1.5% decrease from the previous year. However, the planting area is expected to grow by 0.5%, reaching a total of 78.9 million hectares. Soybeans will remain the major crop, with a projected output of 162.4 million tons, confirming Brazil’s status as the world’s largest producer. On the other hand, corn is forecast to have a 5% decrease in the total planted area, with a projected production of 119.1 million tons. There are also expected growths in particular areas, like cotton, rice, and bean output.
