WITH SUNNY DAYS, RIO GRANDE DO SUL REACHES 50% OF THE AREA PLANTED WITH SOYBEANS

The soybean planting in Rio Grande do Sul reaches 50% of the area due to less rainfall and greater sunlight, yet there is worry about the delay when compared to the previous harvest. With 85% of the area planted, corn benefits from greater sunlight. The wheat harvest in the state is nearly complete, covering 98% of the territory, but grain quality remains below ideal, resulting in an expected yield of 2,164 kg/ha, a 28.38% decrease from the initial prediction. Other winter crops, such as white oats, barley, and canola, have concluded harvesting.
