WINTER CROPS HAVE GOOD PRODUCTIVE POTENTIAL IN RIO GRANDE DO SUL

If the weather cooperates until the end of the month, the winter crop in Rio Grande do Sul should consolidate positively for producers. The assessment was made by the president of the Federation of Agricultural Cooperatives of the State of Rio Grande do Sul (FecoAgro/RS), Paulo Pires. The director also recalls that the month of October will be decisive for the wheat crop, which comes with an expectation of record production. According to the president of FecoAgro/RS, the crop reached the largest area in years. “The crop had the largest area since 1980 and now we have a good productive potential. And with this good productive potential, we have a chance, if all goes well, to have the biggest harvest in history, that’s what the moment is signaling to us”, he says.
