Cargo throughput at the Port of São Francisco do Sul totaled 1.5 million tonnes in April, up 1.5% from the same month in 2025, when 1.48 million tonnes were handled. The highlight of the period was soybean exports to China, which reached 789,000 tonnes. The volume represents a 44% increase from April last year, when 548,000 tonnes of the grain were shipped. Exports totaled 843,000 tonnes, accounting for 56% of all cargo handled during the month. Inbound cargo at Santa Catarina’s largest port reached 655,000 tonnes, equivalent to 44% of monthly throughput. Steel products led the list of unloaded goods, with 416,000 tonnes, followed by fertilizers, with 216,000 tonnes.
