SÃO VICENTE PROVIDES AREAS FOR POLYGON EXPANSION IN PORT OF SANTOS

Sao Vicente’s administration has shown interest in developing port activity in the city’s Continental Area. The city council has proposed the construction of hydrogen and biomethane facilities to fill the vacant space with logistical operations such as warehouses and green industries. The major goal is to reduce congestion at the Port of Santos, improve efficiency, and encourage regional growth. In September, representatives from the municipal ministries of Environment and Economic Development met with the Santos Port Authority to discuss the extension. The Port Authority stated that it is undertaking research on the subject and noted that the river port, which relates to industrial condos, is a vital component of the Baixada Santista Metropolitan Region.
