SANTOS BRASIL SET TO RUN LIQUID BULK TERMINAL AT THE PORT OF ITAQUI LATER THIS YEAR

Santos Brasil expects the works at its two brownfield liquid bulk terminals (TGL3 and TGL1) in the Port of Itaqui (MA) will begin this year. The project aims at expanding capacity from 50 thousand cubic meters (m³) to 110 thousand m³, in addition to the increase and updating of automation, more railway positions, and access improvement for internal road traffic. Santos Brasil was authorized to run operations at TGL 3, its first terminal in the port of Maranhão, with a nominal capacity of 20 thousand m³, across seven storage tanks for diesel, gasoline, anhydrous ethanol, and biodiesel. The unit will have a nominal capacity of 201 thousand m³ when all construction works are concluded.
