RUMO AND ANDALI TO EXPAND FERTILIZER TERMINAL IN BRAZIL

Rumo and Andali opened a transshipment rail terminal in Rio Verde, in the state of Goiás. The new complex will make possible fertilizers transportation from the Port of Santos (SP) to Goiás through the Malha Central (North-South railway) to industrialize fertilizers at the facility in Goiás. The project was pushed forward. On-site, “mixing” of fertilizers will be available. “We already have a grain operation in the Rio Verde complex, and now we will have a fertilizer operation. We will meet the main demands of agribusiness”, said the commercial vice president of Rumo, Pedro Palma. About 1.5 million tons of fertilizers are expected to be handled at the terminal.
