RAIZEN LAUNCHES THE WORLD’S LARGEST 2G ETHANOL PLANT

Raizen, a Brazilian energy company, announced on Thursday (5/10) the opening of the Bonfim Bioenergy Park in Guariba (SP). The facility is the world’s largest second-generation ethanol plant, with a capacity of 82 million liters per year. The BRL 1.2 billion Bonfim Bioenergy Park is Razen’s second 2G ethanol plant, the first of which is situated in the Costa Pinto Bioenergy Park in Piracicaba (SP) and has been operational since the 2014-2015 harvest. The new facility increases the overall capacity of second-generation ethanol production to 114 million liters per year.
