PRE-SALT PRODUCTION BREAKS A RECORD IN FEBRUARY WITH 78.1% OF THE NATIONAL TOTAL

Pre-salt output reached 3.268 million barrels of oil equivalent per day (boe/d) in February, accounting for 78.1% of Brazilian production—the greatest participation rate ever noted. Over 130 wells have produced 2.566 million barrels of oil per day (bbl/d) and 111.55 million cubic meters of natural gas per day (m3/d). Comparing the current month to the same month last year, there was an increase of 15%. Moreover, it represented the highest production ever noted. Domestic production in February reached 4,183 boe/d, that is 3,262 million bbl/d and 146,540 million m3/d. It was the highest total production ever seen, surpassing that of October 2022, when 4.180 million boe/d were produced.
