PORT OF SUAPE WELCOMES MASSIVE GAS TANKER FOR LPG DELIVERY

The Harzand, one of the world’s largest gas tankers in operation, berthed at the Port of Suape. The impressive China-built ship measures 230 meters in length and 36.6 meters in width. Berthed at the 3B Liquid Bulk Pier, the vessel is bringing 52,200 tonnes of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) to the local market with destination to Houston, Texas, in the United States. The Singapore-flagged ship has a cargo capacity of 93,000 cubic meters. Built by the China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), the vessel was ordered by Petredec Global. It is part of the Chinese company’s fourth-generation naval project to improve fuel efficiency and increase cargo capacity. The ship is powered by gas and dual fuel.
