The Portos Rio Port Authority was given permission by the National Waterway Transport Agency (Antaq) to update the Port of Rio de Janeiro’s rates, which had not been altered since 2016. The new tariffs, as well as their maximum limits and the tariff structure, will come into force in 30 business days, starting on the 19th of January. With the approval of the request for tariff standardization and adjustment, Antaq authorized a readjustment index of an average of 29.07% and a tariff effect of an average of 12.33%.
