PORT OF PARANAGUA: GRAIN MOVEMENT UP 11.73% AT EAST EXPORT CORRIDOR

The eleven terminals that make up the Port of Paranagua’s East Export Corridor (Corex) have seen a volume of 17,044,590 tonnes of gains and meals in 2022. The year-to-date grain movement from January to November is 11.73% higher than last year, which was 15,254,687 tonnes. The number of ships that docked to transport soybeans, soy meal, wheat, corn, and corn meal also grew: 292 vessels, 26 more than in the same period of 2021. In November alone, 1,131,523 tonnes of soybeans, soy meal, and corn were shipped through the complex. The number is 6.43% higher than in November 2021, when 1,058,774 tonnes were sent off. The volume of corn exports grew the most. In 11 months, Correx terminals handled a volume of 4,235,653 tonnes, up 83% from the same period last year (714,464 tonnes).
