PORT OF CABEDELO INNOVATES TO DECARBONIZE THE SHIP SECTOR

The Port of Cabedelo, located in Paraíba, is leading the way in decarbonizing maritime transport by using e-methanol, a sustainable fuel made from CO2 and renewable energy sources via catalytic reactions. Global support has been extended to this initiative, notably from corporations like Maersk. Companhia Docas da Paraíba’s president, Ricardo Barbosa, will be in Valencia, Spain, for a decarbonization course. He is a part of the Alliance for the Decarbonization of Brazilian Ports, which aims to accelerate the decarbonization of maritime transport by bringing together entities from the sector in a collaborative forum.
