PORT OF ANTONINA REACHES RECORD HIGHS IN BULK SUGAR OPERATIONS

The Porto Ponta do Félix in Antonina-PR achieved a new record in productivity by loading 21 thousand tons of bulk sugar. This is the second successful export operation through the terminal, and it was made possible by the recent approval of a draft increase to 9 meters in August. During the most recent operation, the MV Indigo Lake vessel was loaded with 10,267 tons of VHP sugar over a span of only 24 hours, representing a 70% increase in productivity. The VHP sugar will be shipped to Venezuela to be used as a raw material for refined sugar production. The increased draft has substantially benefited the Port of Antonina, allowing for more goods, and boosting the local economy.
