PLANTING OF 2024 OFF-SEASON CORN REACHES 73% OF THE AREA IN THE CENTER-SOUTH, SAYS AGRURAL

The sowing of 2024 off-season corn reached 73% of the estimated area for the Center-South of Brazil on Thursday, 22, compared to 59% a week earlier and 56% a year ago, according to a survey by AgRural. According to the company’s statement, so far, conditions are predominantly favorable for the development of the cereal. The 2023/24 summer corn in the Center-South, in turn, was 42% harvested on the same date, compared to 34% in the previous week and 27% in the same period last year.
