PETROBRAS SETS A NEW RECORD FOR REFINARY CAPACITY IN AUGUST

Petrobras said that its refineries set a record for capacity in August, hitting 97.3%, the highest level since December 2014. According to the state-owned company, overall diesel output was 3.78 billion liters, the highest in 2023. During the same period, the output of S10 diesel, the most popular product in the country with a reduced sulfur level, reached 2.37 billion liters. These results are important for reducing price volatility in the external market. “The increase of S10 diesel production in our refineries adds to our commercial strategy, which involves the practice of competitive pricing in a profitable and sustainable manner,” said Claudio Schlosser, Petrobras’ director of commercialization, logistics, and markets.
