PARANAGUÁ PORT LEADS SOY EXPORTS FROM BRAZIL IN JANUARY

The Port of Paranaguá (PR) was the main exporter of soy in Brazil in January 2023. In all, 389.1 thousand tons were exported in the month, against 707.3 thousand tons in January 2022. The port of Rio Grande (RS) exported 263.4 thousand tons in the month. Salvador (BA) exported 71.4 thousand tons. The Port of Tubarão, in Vitória (ES) exported 56.2 thousand tons. Brazil exported 839.6 million tons in January. The port of Santos (SP) was mainly responsible for soybean meal exports in January 2023, shipping 606.6 thousand tons of the by-product. Paranaguá (PR) was in second place, with 283.7 thousand tons and Rio Grande (RS) in third place, with 250.6 thousand. Brazil exported 1.428 million tons of meal in the month. In the same period of the previous year, there were 1.455 million tons.
