Paraná’s ports handled a record 34.44 million tonnes in the first half of 2026, up 0.6% year-on-year. Exports rose 4.9% to 22.30 million tonnes, while imports declined to 12.1 million tonnes. Soybean shipments increased 21% to 9.47 million tonnes, and combined soybean and soybean meal exports totaled 12.86 million tonnes, accounting for 57.6% of total export volumes. Containerized cargo throughput climbed 8.9% to 8.7 million tonnes, while vehicle handling surged 66% to 84,800 units. Fertilizers remained the leading import cargo, totaling 4.73 million tonnes during the period.
