OIL PRODUCTION IN BRAZIL FALLS, OPEC EXPECTS AN UPCOMING INCREASE

According to the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), Brazil’s oil output declined by 147,000 barrels per day (bpd) in March compared to February, to an average of 3.1 million bpd. According to the cartel, Brazil’s output will rise, with some regions producing more than others, while maintenance on offshore platforms may result in “interruptions in large fields.” Brazil is included as one of the key nations that helped enhance the supply of liquid fuels in 2022, along with the United States, Russia, Canada, Guyana, and China. Brazil is expected to increase its supply of fuels in 2023.
