OCTOBER CORN EXPORTS REACHES 8.321 MILLION TONS, ANEC SAYS

The National Association of Cereal Exporters (Anec) has updated its October export estimates. The new projection for corn exports is 8.321 million tons, up from the previous estimate of 7.8 million to 8.679 million tons. However, the new estimate for soybeans is slightly lower at 5.959 million tons compared to the previous projection of 6 million to 6.285 million tons. The projection for soybean meal exports has also been reduced to 1.694 million tons from 2.008 million tons previously. Wheat export projections have decreased to 63,962 tons compared to the earlier estimate of 88,962 tons. In the last week of October, 1.912 million tons of corn, 1.324 million tons of soybeans, and 372,530 tons of soybean meal were shipped. No volume of wheat was exported during this period. For the first week of November, the projected exports are 2.029 million tons of corn, 1.490 million tons of soybeans, 612,775 tons of bran, and 25,000 tons of wheat.
