MATO GROSSO TO BREAK RECORD WITH 5.2 BILLION LITERS OF ETHANOL

In Mato Grosso, ethanol production is expected to increase by 23% to 5.3 billion liters in the 2023–2024 season, compared to the 4.3 billion liters in the 2022–2023 cycle. The expected sum is for biofuel produced from corn and sugarcane. The expansion in corn ethanol production, which currently makes up about 75% of the state’s ethanol production, is maintaining this trend. For the 2022–2023 cycle, Mato Grosso should mill 7.29 million tons of grain for ethanol production. The estimated quantity to be crushed for the 2023–2024 harvest is 9.35 million tons.
