MAPA SEES SANITARY CERTIFICATION AS A KEY FACTOR FOR EXPORTS

The Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture has revealed that sanitary certification played a significant role in boosting the country’s agricultural exports in 2023. The certification of food safety standards for China, Morocco, and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries is now feasible thanks to new protocols. Apart from the rise in coffee, black pepper, and soybean oil exports, Brazil shipped 270 tons of Brazil nuts and almonds to the GCC countries. Export products are now more reliable since sanitary certification is made possible using self-control in manufacturing chains. The Department of Inspection of Products of Plant Origin’s director, Hugo Caruso, has stressed the significance of this certification.
