The Internal Railway of the Port of Santos (Fips), currently operated by Rumo Logística, MRS Logística, and VLI, will be subject to joint oversight by the National Waterway Transportation Agency (ANTAQ), the National Land Transportation Agency (ANTT), and the Port Authority of Santos (APS). The Action Plan outlining the distribution of responsibilities among these regulatory agencies and the port operator was approved by Antaq. This plan is part of the new Work Plan for the Technical Cooperation Agreement and Delegation of Competences between Antaq and ANTT, establishing actions for the supervision of Fips. Areas of oversight include compliance with the concession contract, railway infrastructure, investments, port operations, and interactions with municipalities. ANTT will be responsible for railway scheduling.
