IN JUST 10 MONTHS, PORT OF PECÉM SURPASSES ITS BEST YEAR

The Port of Pecém ended the month of October with the movement of 2,095,848 tons, a new record for the Ceara terminal. During the month, 1,419,056 tons of cargo were unloaded and 676,792 tons shipped to ports in Brazil and abroad. The main cargoes handled were: ores; mineral fuels; cast iron; cereals; salt and products from the milling industry. With the October results, the Pecém port terminal registered a year-to-date movement of 18,107.987 tons in the first ten months of this year. The previous record recorded in 2019 was surpassed by 7,220 tons, when 18,100,767 tons were handled that year. In addition, October is the third month in a row that the Port of Pecém registers movement above two million tons in a single month. August, September, and October are therefore already considered the months with the best handling in 2021, as together they totaled more than six million tons handled.
