Imbituba Port handled 3.29 million tons of cargo and received 145 vessels between January and May 2026, sustaining operational growth. Imports totaled 1.46 million tons, up 7.2% year on year, while exports reached 1.3 million tons, rising 12.5%. In May alone, throughput reached 637,000 tons across 27 vessel calls. Dry bulk remained the dominant segment with 2.4 million tons, accounting for 74% of total throughput, while containerized cargo increased to 687,700 tons, representing 20.9% of volumes. Coastal shipping accounted for 10% of cargo movement and transshipment for 4.5%. Foreign trade flows through the port reached US$799 million in the first five months of 2026, a 12.3% increase from the same period a year earlier.
