GRAIN PRODUCTION INCREASES 16% IN BRAZIL’S CENTER-WEST

According to the 11th Grain Harvest Survey made by Brazil’s Supply Company (Conab), the states of Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Goiás, and the Federal District are likely to produce 136.194 million tons of grains this season, up 16% when compared to the 2020/2021 harvest (117.371 million tons). The planted area increased by 5.2% in the Center-West region, which went from 30.158 million hectares in 2020/2021 to 31.723 million hectares this season. The average productivity registered an increase of 10.3% and jumped from 3,892 kilograms per hectare to 4,293 kilograms per hectare this season.
