GRAIN PRODUCTION IN THE 2023-24 HARVEST IS EXPECTED TO REACH 312.3 MILLION TONS

Brazilian farmers are expected to harvest 312.3 million tons of grains in 2023-24, a 2.4% decrease from the previous season. Rice, an essential domestic supply item, is predicted to increase by 7.5%, reaching 10.79 million tons. This season’s soybean production is expected to reach 160.2 million tons. A similar scenario is seen in the first corn crop. The first cycle of corn cultivation is expected to yield 25.3 million tons, a 7.5% decline from the previous harvest. The overall harvest of corn is expected to be 118.53 million tons. Wheat production is forecast to reach 8.1 million tons.
