DATAGRO REVISES UP CANE CRUSH FORECAST IN BRAZIL’S CENTER-SOUTH REGION

Favorable weather conditions, as well as investments in recovery and repair, boosted yields in sugarcane areas in Brazil’s Center-South during the 2023/24 harvest. With a considerable amount of cane in the planting areas, mills are focusing on effective harvesting, with plans to extend crushing operations until the second part of December if weather conditions are regular. Due to indicators of increased crystallization capacity, DATAGRO revised its sugarcane crushing and sugar output estimates for the 2023/24 cycle. Brazil’s sugar and alcohol industries are likely to grow this season.
